With Stories at the Coffee Table, we're trying out a new publishing model. One managed and controlled by writers, for writers. A systems that finances itself by selling advertising space in its books to corporates.

We believe that there's a lot of quality writing out there that doesn't make it past the doors of publishing as it exists today. We believe that we can find that writing and bring it out in the open, and that readers will lap it up.

Of course we can't be certain. But we're putting our time and our money where our mouths are.

But that's just our first book.

Starting soon (we hope):

There's a lot being planned. The money we hope to earn from SatCT will be ploughed right back into more of the same: perhaps a book of poetry, or playscripts; perhaps a full-length novel.

And this site will grow too. We intend to make it a great place for lovers of the written word, writers and readers both.

This site will soon publish articles news and reports, essays and opinion pieces, reviews of websites, magazines and books, and tutorials and presentations. We also intend to feature original, unpublished poetry, essays, short fiction and play scripts. Perhaps, if we can raise the sponsorship money, more contests.
