Anyway, we've had that reaction too, from a call taxi in Chennai -- "you're the only people to tell me to drive slowly". It came with the addendum that "you're the only people to actually be ready to leave at the time you said". Apparently people budget an hour's drive, then leave half an hour late, get panicky about their flight or train, and ask him to drive faster and faster.
